KCDD members have great success in 2011!
Brooks Gentleman and his amazing dog Sasha competing in the AWI world championships making it to the final round! Great job for the first time there! (Jackie and Towser also took 3rd place in the AWI Toss and Catch World Championship - so the KCDD was well represented!) Many of our "out of town" members did well here and at the Skyhoundz world championship - Darron Barrus, Adrian and Tracy Custer, Tom Clements, all world class competitors!
Jeff Scheetz and Towser become the 2011 Land of Oz Kansas State Disc Dog Champions! The first ever KS state DD Championship was an amazing event with teams coming from as far away as Kentucky and Indiana to compete for the overall title, and the awesome "Scarecrow" trophy! Jeff and Towser kept the 1st place award at home with the KCDD, edging out runner-up Jeff Duff and Sasha in a tie-breaker round for the win.
Jackie Rodeffer-Scheetz and Towser not only became World Champions at the Skyhoundz Xtreme distance world championships - but they set the world record for women's distance in two different divisions!!! Way to go Champs! Ann Wilhelm and her pup Harley Sue also qualified for several events at the first ever Skyhoundz Disc Dogathon world championships!
